About the role
Design covers and interiors for middle grade and chapter books. Collaborate with art directors and editors to produce high-quality book designs from concept to print.
What you’ll do
• Collaborate with art directors, publishers, and editors. • Design covers and interiors for assigned titles. • Research and hire illustrators, negotiate contracts. • Art direct illustrators from concept to final art. • Prepare mechanicals for production and print.
What you’ll bring
• Minimum 3 years trade book design experience. • Strong Adobe InDesign and Photoshop skills. • Portfolio showcasing book design and typography. • Highly organized with strong attention to detail. • Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
