About the role
Lead and grow the Maps & Search team to deliver a world-class home search experience. Own technical direction, stay hands-on, and scale a high-throughput search platform handling a billion monthly requests.
What you’ll do
• Lead hiring, onboarding, coaching, and career development. • Contribute code, design reviews, and architecture decisions. • Drive architecture, relevance, latency, and reliability of search system. • Improve engagement, lead conversion, and agent workflows. • Integrate AI-powered discovery and shape product roadmap.
What you’ll bring
• 8+ years software engineering experience, 2+ years managing teams. • Experience with search, relevance, ranking, or retrieval systems. • Expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, React, full-stack development. • Experience with scalable microservices in cloud-native environments. • Strong knowledge of GraphQL, Kafka, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch.
