About the role
The Legal Engineer role combines legal practice, software development, and product management to improve legal AI quality and system performance. The role supports product teams by designing legal quality assurance evaluations and recommending system improvements.
What you’ll do
• Define legal AI output correctness and build evaluation tools. • Advise product teams on legal accuracy and domain knowledge. • Design and implement legal quality assurance evaluations. • Discover and recommend system improvements for legal quality. • Partner with product managers, engineers, and designers.
What you’ll bring
• JD, LLB, or equivalent legal qualification or 3+ years legal experience. • Experience building software systems for legal data. • Familiarity with structured data formats like JSON, XML, Markdown. • Experience using agentic AI systems for legal tasks. • Strong communication and time management skills.
