About the role
Provide technical expertise in analyzing inpatient health records to assign diagnosis and procedure codes. Ensure accurate hospital reimbursement by identifying key indicators and coding inpatient records.
What you’ll do
• Assign codes using CDC, CMS, AHA, AHIMA guidelines. • Review inpatient records for diagnosis and procedure accuracy. • Manage coder queries with healthcare providers. • Collaborate with HIM and Patient Financial Services teams. • Maintain coding knowledge and compliance with regulations.
What you’ll bring
• At least 2 years inpatient DRG coding experience. • Bachelor's degree in allied health field. • Certified Coding Specialist or equivalent certification. • Proficient with EMR software like Epic or Cerner. • Excellent English communication skills.
