Outpatient Coding Auditor

About the role
Responsible for implementing and maintaining outpatient coding compliance and reimbursement. Assist Coding Manager with coding services and policy development.
What you’ll do
• Implement and maintain outpatient coding compliance plan. • Develop and supervise HIM compliance education programs. • Conduct continual outpatient coding audits and reviews. • Educate coders on ICD-10-CM, CPT/HCPCS guidelines. • Research and respond to outpatient coding questions.
What you’ll bring
• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) required. • 4 years ICD-10 coding experience in acute care. • 2 years experience performing APC coding audits. • Knowledge of APC and grouping methodologies. • Basic computer skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
