About the role
Lead the modernization and architectural direction of GitLab's Fulfillment platform. Drive technical strategy and mentor engineers to improve scalability and maintainability.
What you’ll do
• Define long-term architecture and technical strategy for Fulfillment. • Assess and mitigate risks in scale, reliability, and performance. • Drive architectural decisions across key Fulfillment areas. • Lead incremental modernization while delivering business value. • Mentor senior engineers and promote AI adoption in workflows.
What you’ll bring
• 10+ years software engineering with leadership experience. • Experience with Fulfillment systems and subscription lifecycle. • Strong skills in distributed systems and scalability. • Proficiency in Ruby, Go, Python, backend and frontend. • Experience modernizing mature platforms without big rewrites.
