About the role
Lead metallic materials and processes engineering for Archer's next-gen eVTOL airframe. Serve as technical authority for metallic materials and FAA certification support.
What you’ll do
• Serve as M&P Metallics SME for airframe structure and components. • Develop compliance data for FAA certification and interface with authorities. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support program progress. • Build and mature metallics capability including lab methods and mentorship. • Lead qualification, specification development, and failure analysis activities.
What you’ll bring
• Bachelor's in Metallurgical or related Engineering; advanced degree preferred. • 8+ years aerospace M&P experience with metallic structures. • Expertise in aerospace alloys and physical metallurgy. • Knowledge of special processes and aerospace standards. • Experience with FAA certification and failure analysis techniques.
