About the role
Lead the technical direction of Alpaca's streaming platform and related infrastructure. Own architecture, design, and delivery of event-driven systems and developer experience.
What you’ll do
• Own architecture of event streaming platform end to end. • Lead shift from batch to event-driven systems. • Design user-facing streaming at scale. • Set standards for event-driven design and shared libraries. • Lead AuthN/AuthZ direction and AI-native engineering.
What you’ll bring
• 8+ years professional engineering experience. • Architected event streaming systems like Kafka or Redpanda. • Delivered realtime data to clients at scale. • Driven technical direction across teams. • Experience with Kubernetes and relational databases.
