About the role
Join Intuitive's Future Forward Research group to design and implement controllers and algorithms for robotic surgical systems. Develop prototypes and translate concepts into finished products for advanced medical interventions.
What you’ll do
• Develop and validate electro-mechanical systems and dynamic models. • Design and implement software algorithms and tools. • Integrate mechanical, hardware, and software components. • Apply control system design methods to prototype systems. • Conduct testing, safety analysis, and performance monitoring.
What you’ll bring
• Strong knowledge of robot manipulator kinematics and control systems. • Experience integrating and characterizing mechatronic systems. • Proficiency in Matlab and C/C++; Python and JavaScript a plus. • Graduate degree in engineering related to robotics or electro-mechanical systems. • Minimum 7 years experience in servo control systems development.
