About the role
Join the CMS team as a senior technical authority for a Medicare Part A claims processing system. Lead architecture, integration, and modernization efforts on a COBOL mainframe system.
What you’ll do
• Own technical integrity of FISS architecture. • Guide mainframe integration with cloud and APIs. • Define architectural standards and review decisions. • Ensure safe COBOL, CICS, VSAM changes. • Serve as technical escalation point.
What you’ll bring
• Hands-on COBOL and IBM mainframe experience. • Experience with cloud-hosted and API integration. • Familiarity with AWS and API development. • Medicare or Medicaid claims processing experience preferred. • Authorized to work in the US with possible clearance.
