About the role
Provide expert nursing triage and support over the phone for hospice patients and families during after-hours and peak times. Assess symptoms, prioritize calls, and guide care decisions to ensure quality end-of-life care.
What you’ll do
• Respond to calls for assigned hospice service areas. • Prioritize urgent needs and assess symptoms. • Assign on-call staff or provide treatment guidance. • Provide education and emotional support. • Document calls accurately in EMR systems.
What you’ll bring
• Graduate of accredited nursing program. • Current RN license in NLC Compact State. • Three years clinical nursing experience. • Two years hospice, oncology, long-term care or home health. • Prior telephone triage experience preferred.
